Honey, toss a met down to that guy with the Palmer jersy.

This web site, bruce_e has some weird stuff but they have a couple cool things for a modern condo.
This light attaches to the inside of the window via suction but sheds its light outside.

It looks like more of the same for the A Option GE Monogram® ZBD6880KSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher. There are no reviews on it, but I would take that as good news because on the internet people are very vocal about bad experiences.

Parker Flats

The reviews on the B option dishwasher, GE PDW9280LSS, are a wash (excuse the pun). I found one good review, one bad. The bad review could have just been down to luck, two different defects that flooded her kitchen.
One of the things I like about this unit is, it holds an entire bottle of liquid automatic dishwasher detergent, dispensing the right amount based on water hardness and soil levels to get dishes clean. GE's claims not mine. But it would be nice not having to pour soap in for every wash.
Of course the Treehugger in us cringes at using a liquid over a powder but can take comfort in the knowledge that its now possible to buy soap in bulk and expend only what's needed from a bulk re-fill, which eliminates the "if a little is good more is better" tendency toward overconsumtion of cleaning products.

Parker Flats: Buyer’s Guide

I hope everyone made their way to the design center last Thursday or Saturday. I met another neighbor, so I think I'm up to at least ten now. If there's any new readers out there drop me an email, I won't be spamming you, but it would it would be nice to know everyone.
What do you think of this? If you want to pitch in and research one of the appliances or other products in the buyers guide I'll post it and give you credit. If we can make informed decisions on what options and upgrades to go with, our new homes will be more enjoyable and stress free.
What prompted this is; I did a Google to find reviews on the Frigidaire FDB1050REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher in the A Options and so far no one has a good thing to say about it.
So do some research and send me your thoughts, please include all links and references you use.

A Options
Review 1
Pros: can not think of any
Cons: everything
Full Review :
Sorry frigidaire but my 20 yo dishwasher out performed this one, that's not even a year old yet. It is not quiet. More than 1/2 the dishes do not get cleaned & that's even after rinsing them off. None of the dishes are even dry when done. It stops in the rinse cycle 2 times, and you have to turn the knob a notch or it'll continually run in that spot. Will not buy a frigidaire appliance again.

Review 2
Worst thing I have ever bought
I don't know how the people at Frigidaire have the audacity to call this a dishwasher, because it does not - I repeat - DOES NOT wash dishes

Parker Flats: In the news again

The BizJourrnal had a story last week about the prevailing wage issue and The Banks.
Another bump on the road to Banks talked about how MED has thrown in the towel and agreed to pay prevailing wage.
“Voss said he doesn't want to jeopardize the 28 sale contracts he has signed on Parker Flats, so he'll pay the extra construction costs and find ways of covering an estimated $1 million funding gap.”
At least all the road blocks are out of the way now and everything can move forward.
