Parker Flats: Construction will continue as planned.

As you know a firestorm erupted this week over Ohio's prevailing-wage law and that the legal dispute could derail the project and have a ripple effect on other city-funded development deals.

Huff reality said that that everything will be on schedule and this case will not effect us. Middle Earth is going to send all of the buyers an email response today. The project should be complete by the end of June.(of '07 I'm assuming)

MED said
"We are planning to send out an email in a few days to address both the Parker delay (which we talked about the other day) and the Business Journal article. It should alleviate any concerns you might have. Look for it within a couple of days."

They also said;
The delay in construction, is that MED is currently pursuing two easements, one short term and one long term, for the property. These are required in order to install the tie-backs that are needed to support the building's structural integrity. Normally, the city will not issue a foundation permit without asking about easements – however, in this case, the city did just that. After digging started the city came in and demanded the easements that they failed to notify MED about in the first place. So, as it stands now, they are working to acquire the easements. Once those are secured, work should continue as before.
