I realized, I had a million pictures looking out the city door, but none of the city door.
This was rectified while we're still trying to squeeze every last minute of use out of it, its getting tougher now with the sun setting at like 6pm.

After bugging Liz, Avani and Lauren all summer about hosting a Cincinnati Imports party on the tweetdeck they finally decided I wasn't completely loony and took me up on the offer. I still think they're skeptical of my sanity letting 60+ strange people in our downtown condo, but it was totally worth it for Ms 5chw4r7z and I, we had a blast. Steelers vs. Behgals

Sunday afternoon, the tailgate lots were packed with Steeler and Bengals fans. The one thing they had in common?
In the public parking under the building, they all got to watch the craptastic game play of the Brownies from the tweetdeck.
The most shouted phrase from that lot?
"your place is freakin awesome" with freakin replaced by the queen mother of all f words based on the level of inebriation.
But yes thank you it is. Living in the award winning Parker Flats will make you conceded.

They didn't convert that third down, going for it on 4th, what choice do they have?

It was immature, sure, but after taking it from the Steeler fans all day,We are the Champions on infinite loop plus every Steelers polka song ever recorded, we couldn't help but give it all back at the end of the day.
And boy did we let them have it.
We were tweetdeck tough guys.

Bengals vs. the Colts

Another Bengals game with a different outcome. Lots of cheering last night versus the booing last week.
Of course they were still blacked out, what the hell, no football at all for us last night, until we got to the roof and watched it on the scoreboard.





Gordon Bombay, world famous photog from Queen City Discovery and featured in the Cincinnati Business Journal stopped in to take some pictures. Gordon gets into some sketchy places to capture urban ruins and other oddities around Cincinnati.
Not that Parker Flats is either of those, but we do offer some unique views.

Who Dey Edition

Not sure what I was expecting, but this was probably pretty close, a cross between a party a festival and a carnival?
We had a small party on the "tweetdeck" to watch the spectacle of the ball game and the surrounding mayhem from our Parker Flats condo.
Everyone in a good mood waving, shouting hello in good spirits, it was one giant grilling drinking mass of humanity and I loved it.

Parker Flats, designed by PDT Design, was honored with Juror's Special Mention at the first annual CORA Residential Design Awards. The Congress of Residential Architecture and AIA Cincinnati recognized the project as excellence in residential design.

I met Andrew VanSickle just over a year ago year ago, why would I remember something like this, well when you have a diarist blog, its almost like having total recall. I really enjoyed his gallery AVSArt over the last year, Andrew took a lot of risks with his shows which I think were under appreciated in Cincinnati. The AVSArt Gallery lasted just around a year and closed at the end of April, bummer.
But Andrew is pretty insightful and I always enjoyed all the colorful stories he had.
Where is all this going?
I've finally got around to hanging a couple AVS originals in the condo, I can't express just how much we love these two painting. And they look awesome in their new space, whether they stay in these exact spots is still open but for now here they are.


how cool is this, the backs all doodled up. I have to ask Andrew about the coke bottle, "pop" art?
